Portrait Terms and Conditions
DEPOSITS
All portrait bookings require a 50% deposit upfront which secures your place in my diary. Unfortunately, until this is paid, your spot is not secured, so you may find that I'm no longer able to accommodate your request (particularly during busier periods, like Christmas). If you want to cancel your portrait before the drawing or painting commences, and I haven't purchased any materials, half of your deposit will be returned to you. The half that I retain is a cancellation fee to cover my time spent creating mock ups and on admin. If I have had to purchase materials specifically for your project (e.g. a particular colour of spray paint that I don't usually stock), then I will retain the cost(s) of these too.
If you decide to cancel your portrait after I have started drawing, you will forfeit the full amount.
Deposits can be paid by either Paypal or bank transfer.
FULL PAYMENT
I require the remaining balance of your portrait to be paid in full prior to shipping. I will always show you what the final piece looks like to make sure you're happy. If any changes need to be made, then I will be happy to work with you until you are 100% satisfied. If for whatever reason this isn't possible, you will not be required to pay the remaining balance, but I will retain both the deposit and the artwork. In the event that this happens - I reserve the right to sell the artwork on, or produce prints of it in order to recoup my losses.
If you are struggling to pay the final balance - please contact me and let me know. I have organised payment plans in the past and would be happy to do this for you. The artwork will be shipped after the final payment is made. If you do not contact me, and I do not hear from you within 30 days of the agreed shipping date, I will assume that you do not wish to proceed and the artwork will be sold on or disposed of.
DAMAGE DURING SHIPPING
I always make sure I pack my artwork well, however, I have no control over the handling of the package during transit. All packages will be sent out via an insured service. If your package arrives damaged, please photograph both the damaged package and the damaged item, and contact me immediately. You will need to send the artwork back to me and I will create a replacement for you - however, I cannot guarantee that this would be immediate as it depends on the time I have alongside my current orders.
SHARING ARTWORK ON SOCIAL MEDIA
An up to date portfolio is crucial for any artist, so I may wish to include your portrait on my website and social media. Not everything I do is uploaded for various reasons (usually it's because my photography skills were terrible!) However, if you do not want me to post your work publicly, please just let me know. I will never post any photographs of art work (either in progress or complete) before it has been received (unless given prior permission).
If you wish to share your art work on social media, please feel free to do so! But I would really appreciate it if you credited me in the post.
